REVIEW: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser

For the past month or so, I have been trying a cleanser that is new to me; the Gentle Skin Cleanser by Cetaphil.

Before I purchased this cleanser, I did some extensive research into cleansers that are benefiting to the skin through its pore-cleansing abilities whilst making sure that it is not overly stripping to the skin.

I have not only tested this cleanser on my face but also on my body as well.

First, lets discuss the positives. It is a nice basic cleanser that did an excellent job at clearing up any breakouts that I had on both my face and body. I also love the fact that it is fragrance-free as, even though my skin isn't sensitive to fragrance, I want to avoid it where possible so that I know that I am not irritating my skin for no reason; also I know that there are people whose skin is sensitive to fragrance and therefore I wanted to present a review on something that I believe that is suitable and accessible for anyone. I am someone who deals with body acne, not helped by my picking, and I have found that this cleanser has worked amazingly to clear up my acne on my back and chest, especially when paired with Cetaphil's Moisturising Lotion.

Now let's move on to the negatives. As someone who has combination-leaning dry skin, I found this cleanser to be slightly stripping on my face specifically, however I do feel that this cleanser would be great for someone with oily, acne-prone skin due to this slight lack on hydration. I find this stripping of the skin to be strange with the specific cleanser as the bottle states that it is for 'dry, sensitive skin'.

Would I recommend this product: If you have oily or acne-prone skin then yes, if you have dry or even combination skin then I would say no.

Would I use it again: Yes, I have actually repurchased this cleanser along with the Moisturising Lotion, however I only used this products on my body. I have purchased a more hydrating cleanser for my face.
